OVERVIEW
Natalia joined Casellas Alcover & Burgos P.S.C. in 2008. Concentrates her practice on complex commercial and civil litigation, with an emphasis in health law, insurance claims, contract law, corporate governance, public contract and procurement, corporate law, shareholder disputes, property title disputes, First Amendment defense, distribution and franchising issues, administrative law and regulations, consumer protection statutes, construction disputes, intellectual property and technology and tax litigation, among others.
She has experience in all trial and appellate levels of the Puerto Rico Court of General Justice; the Puerto Rico District Court; arbitration; and administrative proceedings before a wide range of Puerto Rico agencies. She graduated from the University of Puerto Rico, Rio Piedras Campus (B.A., summa cum laude, 2003); the University of Puerto Rico Law School (J.D., cum laude, 2007); and the University of Barcelona Law School (Licenciatura en Derecho, 2007). After law school, Natalia worked as a Clerk of the Central Investigative Panel, Supreme Court of Puerto Rico (2007-2008). Her publications include: co-author, "Tratamiento de la Normativa sobre el precio de transferencia en los activos intangibles", Revista INTANGIBLES, July 2006 (Barcelona, España); and co-author, "EEUU: Los precios de transferencia y los intangibles", Revista EL FISCO, October 2006 (Barcelona, España).
Natalia is a member in good standing of the Puerto Rico Bar Association, Federal Bar Association and the American Bar Association, and is admitted to practice in the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, the U.S. District Court, Puerto Rico and the U.S. Court of Appeals, First Circuit. She is also a Notary Public.
Natalia serves as President Elect of the Puerto Rico Chapter of the Federal Bar Association.
